Cover Leaders in Prayer. See Nations Transformed

“The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelations 22:2

It is our aim to mobilise regular and focused prayers for the nations and their rulers. It is God’s desire to see the nations healed, healed from oppression, injustice and corruption.

Paul in his letter to Timothy (1 Tim 2:1-4) urge that prayer would be made for all humanity and rulers in particular. Jesus taught us to pray that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth as in Heaven.

Praying for nations and rulers is a key part of our call to partner with Jesus in extending His Kingdom here on earth, and whether we agree with specific rulers or otherwise has no bearing on Jesus’ objective of having His Kingdom advancing on the earth.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
